Merry Christmas! Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas. We Catholics always ‘stand out’ from the culture around us. So too, on December 25, we only begin the “Christmas Season” of celebrating Jesus being born in human flesh…while the world around us is taking Christmas decorations down. The Presence of Christ...As we near the feast day of Christmas, we can reflect on the various ways that the Resurrected Jesus is present in the world still today. The Catholic Church teaches that Christ is present in the Word (Scripture), the Eucharist, the priest, and in all the baptized. A new limited edition Christmas ornament featuring St. Francis of Assisi will debut this weekend!! This year’s ornament is the 14th in a series of collectors’ ornaments featuring the art and architecture of our church. Proceeds benefit the parish’s building fund. The ornaments will be sold for $10 each after Mass. A Feast of God’s Grace This Wednesday! On Wednesday this week, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
