Stewardship Committee This committee plans and implements parish stewardship education and oversees the commitment process of time and talent, prayer and treasure. The committee meets monthly. Contact Person: Jeff Taylor, 624-5333
Prayer Chain Participants make a commitment to pray for special intentions listed in the parish bulletin or conveyed over the phone or e-mail for more immediate needs. Parish Newsletter Do you have a knack for writing, editing, or desktop publishing? Come join our all-volunteer parish newsletter staff. Published every two months, it highlights activities of our parish organizations and committees and offers insightful articles on faith development and spirituality. Hospitality Committee The hospitality committee is dedicated to making everyone at St. Clare’s feel welcome and a part of our parish community. Members organize the parish’s annual social and special events, such as the parish Christmas party, the parish picnic, the Mardi Gras party, and the Easter Breakfast. Oktoberfest Committee Our annual Oktoberfest celebration is St. Clare’s biggest fund raiser of the year. Always held the last Saturday of September, the Oktoberfest offers great German food, live music, games and great giveaways. All ages welcome. Contact Person: Bill Blair, 222-6846
Altar Sodality The Altar Sodality is a women’s group committed to providing various forms of service: 1) liturgical items for the parish (candles, vestments, bread, wine, palms); 2) funeral meals for grieving parishioners; 3) Altar Angels (who clean the church); and 4) financial support to the Newman Center at SIU Carbondale. The Sodality also offers social activities for its members and welcomes new women. It meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from September-May. Contact Person: Margarita Crupe, 628-4721

St. Clare Senior Group Calling all parishioners, male and female, 55 years and older. Join our vivacious fun-loving, relaxed group for entertaining meetings and outings. We are also interested in charitable and prayerful activities. Contact Person: Joe Burroughs, 632-3736
Parish Nurse Program The Parish Nurse Program was initiated in 2003 and is still in its developmental stages. It is not a hands-on program, but is educational, supportive, directive, and designed to promote healthy living. Registered nurses conduct this program. Contact Person: Mary Anne Burroughs, 632-3736
Sunday Nursery Volunteers are needed during the 8:30 & 10:30 a.m. Masses for our nursery for children ages 6 months and up. Parents help with the nursery on a rotating basis.

Circle of Healing and Hope Comforting the sorrowful is a Gospel mandate and work of mercy. St. Clare Circle of Healing and Hope exists to reach out to people who are grieving significant losses, especially the death of a loved one, in an effort to help them find healing and hope. O’Fallon Knights of Columbus The K of C is a fraternal organization dedicated to promoting their faith through outreach and service. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men, who are at least 18 years old. Contact Person: Knights of Columbus, 632-6229
O’Fallon Knights of Columbus Auxiliary The Auxiliary is a group of women who work together with the K of C to provide for the needs of the local parishes and community. The mission areas of the K of C Auxiliary are church, family, youth, community, and council. The Auxiliary also supports organizations and programs outside of those supported by the Knights.
